Garyfallia (Liana) Kanelli (Greek: Λιάνα Κανέλλη, born 20 March 1954), is a Greek journalist and has been a member of the Greek Parliament for the Communist Party of Greece since 2000.

Political Career[edit]

She was elected a member of the Parliament in the first electoral Constituency of Athens for the first time in 2000. She was reelected in 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2012.

She has been awarded, by many associations and organizations, due to her social and antiracist action.

She is a member of the following Parliament Committees: on Institutions and Transparency, on Defense and Foreign Affairs. She is also a member of the Council of Europe and of the Western European Union.

She is a graduate of Law School, University of Athens.
