Erwin Angerer (born December 30, 1964 in Mühldorf, Carinthia) is an Austrian politician for the Freedom Party (FPÖ). He is also part of the Council in Schrems, Chairman of the Social Democratic Trade Unionists of the district of Gmünd and chairman of the SPÖ local organization Lower Schrems.

Political Career[edit]

Angerer started his political career in 1999 in the Austrian town of Gmünd, where he became the Chairman of the local group. In 2001, he was elected local Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) in Schrems. In 2009, he became the district chairman of the SPÖ in Gmünd. He has been a member of the Lower Austrian Landtag from 2008 till 2013. Angerer has been a Member of Parliament since July 2, 2014.
