Eric Thiébaut

Eric Thiébaut was born on 30 June 1969 in Bergen. He is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the French-speaking Socialist Party (PS) and mayor of Hensies.

Political Career

He started his political career in 1994 when he became a member of the PS. In 2000, he was elected as a councillor in Hensies. A year later he became alderman for finance and environment. The same year, he replaced Cheval as mayor of Hensies. He got re-elected in 2006 and 2012. He has held his seat in the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the French-speaking socialists (PS) since 2007.

Education

He graduated in civil engineering at the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons.
