David Brownrigg Craig, Lord Craig of Radley, was born on the 17th September 1929 in Dublin, Ireland. He is a member of the House of Lords and a former Royal Air Force Officer.

Political Career

After he retired from the RAF in 1991, Craig was made a life peer receiving the title, Baron Craig of Radley, of Helhoughton in the County of Norfolk. During his time in parliament, Lord Craig worked on a number of committees. The first committee in which he served on was the Select Committee on Science and Technology Sub-Committee 2 in 1993 and remained there until 1999. He is currently serving on the Liaison Committee, a position he has held since 2013.

Education

Craig was educated at Radley College where he was the captain of the schools rugby team. He went on to become the Head of School. He then moved on to study at Oxford, where he was a member of Lincoln College. Craig graduated with a degree in mathematics. He was awarded an honorary DSc from Cranfield University in 1988.
