Indian music is an integral part of Indian cultural heritage and traditions. It is emotional, spiritual and has power over the human mentality. Indian music is used across the world during healing sessions and is one of the most powerful cultural ambassadors of India.

On September 8th 2016 at 18:00 h. the Embassy of the Republic of India to the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin will host a “Healing Sounds" concert. The concert will be performed by the celebrated Indian composer of healing music, Dr. Shri Balaji Tambe, who will be accompanied by a musical ensemble.

Dr. Shri Balaji Tambe is a founder of the Atmasantulana Village, a world-renowned holistic healing centre. He is the author of more than 20 books in 3 languages, has composed 25 albums of healing music, and has founded Ayurvedic Panchakarma centres in Karla, India and Gleichen, Germany.

The “Healing Sounds” concert will present the Vedic chanted mantras (music). These Mantras are sounds that aim to boost human energy and to energise the body’s natural healing mechanisms. The Vedic chanted mantras allow the body to regain its natural state and to reconnect with the spiritual world.

Aryan-Indians composed the Vedic mantras over 3500 years ago. The mantras are believed to connect the body and the soul spiritually and provide philosophical dialogue between man and nature. The sounds help to give us an understanding about the ancient roots of Indian culture and traditions and also give an insight into the history of Hinduism and the early development of artistic, scientific and philosophical concepts in the subcontinent.

During the “Healing Sounds" concert the audience will be treated to an experience of spiritual frequencies and energies that come from the Vedic chants and every listener will experience the Indian life-philosophy and well-balanced perception of life first-hand through the ancient Indian mantras.

Indian spiritual music represents one of the world’s oldest cultural traditions. The value of this tradition lies, not only in the rich cultural diversity of India, but also in the ingenious musical techniques employed in spiritual music. These techniques are based on tonal accents and develop a complex philosophical relationship between ancient Indian culture and contemporary Indian life.

The traditional music of India plays an important role in the conducting of cultural diplomacy between the country and the rest of the world. Indian music spreads the wisdom of the Indian culture and both creates and develops cultural bridges, respect and tolerance between people.
