Irene Charalambides was born in Limassol in 1964. She is a Greek/Cypriot politician and journalist.

Political Career[edit]

Irene Charalambides is a representative of Nicosia constituency under the banner of AKEL-Left-New Forces since May 2011. She served as Member of the House Standing Committee on Development Plans and Public Expenditure Control,Member of the House Standing Committee on Health Affairs, and as Member of the House Standing Committee on Institutions, Merit and the Commissioner for Administration (Ombudsman).

Education[edit]

Irene Charalambides graduated in Psychology (University of Nicosia) and Journalism (Mediterranean College, Athens).She speaks English.
