In 1994 he became a member of the PSC, the forerunner of the cdH. In 1999 he was a candidate representative in the district of Brussels-Halle-Vilvoorde, but was not elected. One year later he was elected to city council in Brussels City. In 2004 he replaced Georges Dallemagne as vessels, which he remained until 2012. In 2004 Mampaka Mankamba was also elected in the Brussels Parliament, where he is still a member of today. He is also vice-president (2011-2012) and was Secretary from 2012 to 2013.

In 1979 Mampaka Mankamba came to Belgium for his university studies and went to live in Bergen. At the Université de Mons-Hainaut, he was a graduate in economics and aggregate in higher secondary education. He was also qualified in Taxation.
