Benoit Hellings

Benoit Hellings, born in Oupeye on July 7, 1978, is a Belgian Walloon politician Ecolo. He is a former project manager at Brussels International Tourism & Congress.

Political Career

From 2009 to 2010, Hellings was directly elected senator as successor to Isabelle Durant. In 2012 he returned to the Senate as successor of Claudia Niessen. Also in 2012, he was candidate for the position of ECOLO Chairman, together with Muriel Gerkens, but they both lost to Olivier Deleuze and Emily Hoyos.

Education

Hellings has a degree in Political Science at the ULB (Free University of Brussels).
