Marie-France Beaufils (born November 22, 1946) is a French Senator representing the department of Indre-et-Loire and a member of the French Communist Party (CRC).

Political Career[edit]

Beaufils entered politics in 1982 when she became a Municipal Councilor for Saint-Pierre-des-Corps and in 1983; she was elected Mayor of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps.

In 2001, Beaufils was elected to the French Senate for the department of Indre-et-Loire, in Western France. In the Senate, Beaufils has served on the Commission of Finances and the Group on Energy Studies.

Education[edit]

Beaufils studied education and worked as a school teacher prior to entering politics.
