Karen Brady was born on the 4th April 1969. She is a Conservative life peer. During her career she has worked in a number of professions such as a television broadcaster, newspaper columnist author and novelist.

Political Career[edit]

In September 2013, she gave an introductory speech to Chancellor George Osborne at the Conservative Party Conference. She became the governments Small Business ambassador. On 22nd September 2014, she was created Baroness Brady, of Knightsbridge in the City of Westminster.

Education[edit]

She attended Salcombe Preparatory in Southgate until the age of 11. She subsequently went on to Poles Convent, which is a boarding school in Ware, Hertfordshire. She then went on to study at Aldenham School, Elstree where she gained 4 A-Levels. Brady has a Business Doctorate from the University of Birmingham.

Notable Work[edit]

Karen Brady is currently the Vice Chairman of West Ham FC, the Senior Non-Executive Director of the Syco and Arcadia Boards. She has also received a CBE for Services to women in Business and Entrepreneurship. During her Career she has also received many awards over the years.

These awards include being named Business woman of the Year, Most Inspirational Woman of the Year. She also has a place on the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s WISAB (Women in Sport Advisory Board). Brady is also an ambassador for a number of charities including Well Child and Teenage Cancer Trust. She also appears on the BBC show ‘The Apprentice’.
