Anke Spoorendonk

Anke Spoorendonk was born on the 21st of September 1947 in Busdorf in Schleswig. She has been a member of the German Federal Council for the South Schleswig Voter Federation (SSW) since 2012. She is the second Deputy Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein and the Minister for Justice, Culture and European Affairs of Schleswig-Holstein.

Political career

Between 1977 and 1996 she was a school teacher at the Danish School Duborg-Skolen in Flensburg. Since 1977 she has been a member of the South Schleswig Voters' Association (SSW). Since 1992 she has been the chairman of the local branch SSW in Harrislee. Moreover, since 1996 she has worked as a member of the SSW-state committee. Between 1990 and 1996 she served as a deputy district councillor for the SSW in the district of Schleswig Flensburg. From 2008 to 2012 she was a member of the municipal council of Harrislee for the SSW. Between 1996 and 2012 she was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Federal Council.

Education

Spoorendonk graduated from German secondary school in 1966 with the Abitur (A-Level). Subsequently, from 1967 to 1976, she studied history and German literature in Copenhagen.
