Albrecht Plangger

Albrecht Plangger is a member of parliament of the Italian Chamber of Deputies for the seventeenth legislation.

Education

Born in 1960 in Curon Venosta (Bolzano), he graduated in Law. After the degree he worked as a tax official for the region and a lawyer.

Political Career

Albrecht Plangger was elected in the 2013 general elections in the Trentino-Alto Adige region for the “Sudtiroler Volkspartei” and he lately joined the mixed group for linguistic minorities; he is actually a member of the commission for constitutional affairs and interns, and is a commissioner for the inquiry committee on illicit waste and recycling.

Special Achievements

Hon. Plangger was chosen by his community to represent interests of the South Tyrol at the Italian Parliament. He aims at gaining respect for the language minorities in Italy and he is working to transfer new autonomous powers while resisting any kind of centralism; he wants to establish networks with other friendly forces autonomy.
