Alain Marsaud

Alain Marsaud (born March 8, 1949) is a UMP (Union for a Popular Movement) member of the French National Assembly for the tenth district of the eleven constituencies representing French nationals outside of France.

Marsaud also formerly served as the Vice-President of the French Committee for Civil Defense.

Political Career

Marsaud entered politics in 1993, when he became a Municipal Councillor for Haute-Vienne.

The same year, Marsaud was elected to the French National Assembly for the first district of Haute-Vienne. He remained Municipal Councillor until 2001 and represented the first district of Haute-Vienne until 2007.

In 2012, Marsaud was elected for the tenth district of the eleven outside of France, representing French nationals in the Middle East and Eastern Africa.

Education

Marsaud grew up and attended school in Limonges, Haute-Vienne. He also studied law.
