Éliane Assassi

Éliane Assassi was born in 1958 and she is a communication director. She has been member of the National Commission of Exceptional Admission for Residence Permit, member of the National Commission of Evaluation of Overseas Territories' Policies and Mayor of Drancy.

Political Career

Éliane Assassi is a member of the Senate of France, within the Communist Group (Groupe Communiste Républicain et Citoyen). She has been in office since 2004 for the costituency of Seine-Saint-Denis. She is the Vice-president of the Commission on constitutional laws, legislation, universal suffrage and general administration. Éliane Assassi is a member of Senatorial Delegation Overseas; member of the Committee on Parliamentary Deontology; member of the Study Board on Industry; member of the French Justice Court; member of the Administration Council of the French Office for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless People (OFPRA).
