Elżbieta Kruk

Elżbieta Kruk – (born on 19th November 1959 in Lublin, Poland) is a Polish politician, a member of Law and Justice (national conservative political party in Poland). She was elected to the Parliament on September 25th, 2005.

Political Career

In 2000-2001 she worked with Lech Kaczynski who was Minister of Justice of the political office. In the parliamentary elections in 2001 she was elected to Parliament (V term) from the list of Law and Justice in the Lublin district. In 2005 was reelected. In 2006 she was appointed by Lech Kaczyński in the National Council of Radio and Television and became President of the Council, and therefore relinquished her mandate. In September of the same year she resigned from the membership of the National Council of Radio and Television, deciding to start in early parliamentary elections as leader of PiS list in the Lublin district. In October 2007 she was elected for the third time and was reelected in 2011.

Education

In 1984 she graduated from the Faculty of Humanities in History from the Catholic University of Lublin. In college she worked in the Independent Students' Association. In 1994 she completed postgraduate studies in public administration at the University of Warsaw, and in 1996 post-graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
