María del Carmen Álvarez-Arenas Cisneros

María del Carmen Álvarez-Arenas Cisneros is a member of the spanish People's Party. She is currently a deputy of the Spanish Congress after being elected in the last General Elections in 2011. She was born in Madrid on August the 3rd,1948.


Political Career

Between 1987 and 2008, she was a deputy at the Assembly of Madrid. In addition, she has also performed different positions within the People's Party since the 90s such as a vice-councillor at the Community of Madrid's Presidency (1995-1999), senator (1999-2003), vice-councilor of Employment and Women at the Community of Madrid (2005-2008)and secretary of the General Committee of Madrid's Assembly (2003-2005).

Education

María del Carmen Álvarez-Arenas holds a Master degree in Business management from the Instituto de Empresa and a second Master degree in Security and Defense from the Universidad Juan Carlos I.
