Francesc Vallès Vives (born July 1971) is a Spanish Politician.

Political career

Vallès Vives has been an MP for the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) from Tarragona, Catalonia, for three terms, since 2004. He was Spokesman of the Commission for the Court of Auditors. He was also spokesman of the Federal Executive of the PSC-PSOE and member of the National Council of the Party. Vallès is coordinator of the Parliamentarians and Senators of the PSC (the Catalan branch of the PSOE).

Education

Vallès Vives has a MA in Law at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB, (1994); and an MA at Georgetown University, in Washington DC (2000). He got his PhD at the UAB in 2002 and a PhD titled: Control Externo del Gasto Público y Estado Constitucional (External Control of the Public Expenditure and Constitutional State). Vàlles is professor of Constitutional Law at the UAB.
