María del Carmen Silva Rego (born 26 November 1960) is a Spanish politician.

Political Career

Silva Rego has been a MP for the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party (PSOE) in Pontevedra, Galiza, for two terms, from 1996 to 2000 and since 2011. She was Vice-Secretary General of the Local Group of the PSOE in Vigo. She was Parliamentary Advisor at the Ministry of Agriculture. Moreover, Silva Rego was a councillor for Urbanism in Vigo (Galiza) and Deputy Mayor. She was also a Senator.

Education

Silva Rego has a BA in Economic Law and in Special Education.
