Sarah Smeyers
Sarah Smeyers was born on October 8th 1980 in Aalst (Belgium). She is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish nationalist party (N-VA), president of the Public Centre of Social Welfare (OCMW) in Aalst, and an alderman in Aalst.
Political Career[edit]
Sarah Smeyers got elected for the first time in 2007 in the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for N-VA. She got re-elected after national elections in 2010 and 2014. She is a former quaestor of the Chamber of Representatives. Since 2013, she is also active on the local level in Aalst as a councillor and alderman for Social Affairs and housing, and as the president of the Public Centre of Social Welfare (OCMW).

She graduated in law and did a specialisation degree at the KU Leuven.
