Tatjana Šimac Bonačić was born on 29 September 1957 in Sinj, Croatia. She is a member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP; Croatian: Socijaldemokratska partija Hrvatske) and has been a member of the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski sabor) during its sixth and seventh term.

Political Career

Šimac Bonačić is a chairperson of the SDP Dubrovnik City Committe and a member of the Executive Board of the County Organization of SDP for the Dubrovačko-neretvanska County. Her second mandate in the Croatian Parliament began on 22 December 2011. She is a deputy chairperson of the Committee on the Family, Youth and Sports, a member of the Health and Social Policy Committee, and a member of the Committee on Croats outside the Republic of Croatia. Previously, she was a member of the Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee.

Education

Šimac Bonačić graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Zagreb. Doctor of Dental Medicine. Specialist in Pediatric Dentistry. Master of Biomedical Sciences.
