Luk Van Biesen was born on June 26th 1960 in Brussels. He is a member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for the Flemish Liberal Party (Open VLD).
Political Career
Van Biesen started his political career on the local level in Kraainem. He holds a seat there in the city council since 1982. He was alderman in Kraanem from 1998 to 2004. He became active on the national level in 2004 as member of the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for Open VLD. He held this seat until 6 May 2010. In 2011, he turned back to the national parliament to replace his party fellow Maggie de Block who became member of the Government at the time. He got re-elected on the national elections on May 25th 2014.
Education
He graduated in economics from Solvay.
