Red Cross
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an organization providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by conflict and armed violence around the world. The Red Cross was established in 1863 and is an independent, impartial, and neutral organization.The Red Cross is based in Geneva, Switzerland and is largely funded through voluntary donations. The permanent international mandate for the Red Cross is derived from the 1949 Geneva Convention, which has been agreed to by every state in the world.
