José María Becana Sanahuja is a Spanish politician, member of the Spanish Socialist Worker's Party (PSOE). He was born in Fraga (Huesca) on Novermber 7th, 1957.

Political Career

José María Becana Sanahuja is currently serving as a senator at the senate of Spain, the upper house of Spain's Parliament. He had already served as a senator in the previous term.

Previously, he had been elected deputy at the Spanish Congress in the VIII term, between 2004 and 2008, representing Huesca.

In relation to the regional Parliaments, he served as a deputy in the Parliament of Aragon between 1992 and 2004.

Education

Before his political career gathered speed, he was a professor at a high school.
