John Gilroy (July 20, 1967) is an Irish politician and psychiatric nurse.

Education

John Gilroy has obtained a degree and a license to work as psychiatric nurse, as he did at St Stephen’s Hospital in Glanmire.

Political career

John Gilroy was elected for Labour Party in the Cork County Council in 2004, and then retained the seat in the next round in 2009. Then, he was elected inthe Cultural and Educational panel in the 2011 electoral round, always for the Labour Party.

Notable works

He works also as chairman of juvenile football team, Riverstown Football Club, and he is the Director of Glanmire Area Community Association. He is also member of SAFE in Glanmire and head of league development with Cork Women's and Schoolgirls League.
