William Bradshaw was born on the 9th September 1936. He is a British Academic and politician who represents the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords. Before entering politics, Bradshaw started his career as a railwayman in the 1950s.

Political Career[edit]

He was a special advisor to the House of Commons Transport Select Committee from 1992-1997. He became the life peer of Wallingford in the County of Oxfordshire in 1999. His current role is Co-Chair of the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Party Committee on Transport. Lord Bradley is a strong supporter of having fewer MPs in the House of Commons and higher tuitions fees for students in England.

Education[edit]

He was educated at Slough Grammar School and then went on to study at the University of Reading.
