Carlo Giovanardi was born in 1950 in Modena, Italy, is a member of the Nuovo Centrodestra (“Gruppo - Il Popolo delle Libertà”).
Political Career[edit]
He was a member of “Il Popolo delle Libertà” from 19 March 2013 until 14 November 2013. Since 2013 he has been a member of the New Center Right political party. He has been part of the Committee on Elections and Immunity since May 7, 2013 He has been a member of a 2nd Standing Committee (Justice) since November 23, 2013. Previously he was a member of the 6th Standing Committee (Finance and Treasury) from May 7, 2013 to 23 November 2013. He has been a member of the Parliamentary Committee for Prosecuting since July 24, 2013. Moreover he was member of the Parliamentary committee of Inquiry into the Phenomenon of the Mafia and Other Criminal Organizations since 11 October 2013. During Berlusconi's government, Giovanardi was a Secretary for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (Family, Drugs and Civil Service) from 12 May 2008 to 15 November 2011. Giovanardi was a member of the group “Il Popolo delle Libertà” from 6th May 2008 to 14 March 2013.
