Christoph Vavrik, born on May 2, 1961 in Genf (Switzerland), is an Austrian politician, economist and a Member of Parliament for NEOS (Das neue Österreich und Liberales Forum; The new Austria and Liberal Forum) since 2013.
Political career[edit]
Christoph Vavrik was candidate during the national elections of 2013 and gained a mandate in the country constituency of Steiermark. He was sworn in on October 29, 2013 as a deputy. He subsequently became the spokesperson for Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, and ombudsman for NEOS, the New Austria and Liberal Forum. Since May 2013, he has been the spokesperson of NEOS Steiermark.
Education[edit]
Vavrik attended the Lycée Français de Vienne in Vienna and graduated with the Matura. He then studied, from 1979 to 1984, business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and graduated in 1984 with a Masters degree. After finishing his studies, Christoph Vavrik did his military service from 1984 to 1985, after which he continued his studies from 1985 to 1986 at the Bologna Center of the University of Bologna. Subsequently, he studied from 1987 to 1988 at the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University Washington.
