David Evans was born on the 30th November 1942. He is a British trade unionist, businessman and is currently a member of the House of Lords.

Political Career[edit]

Evans represents the Labour Party. Evans was raised to the peerage on the 28th July 1998, receiving the title Baron Evans of Watford, of Chipperfield in the County of Hertfordshire. During his time in parliament, Evans served on the ‘Library and Computers Sub Committee’ from 1999-2002. Then from 2012-2013 he served on the ‘Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Committee’. Evans focus on policies concerning ‘Business, industry and consumers’, ‘Culture, media and sport’, ‘Defence’, ‘Economy and Finance’, ‘Education’, ‘Employment and Training’, ‘International Affairs’.

Notable Work[edit]

Evans is the director of the Royal Air Force Museum Trading Company. He is also the Deputy Chairman of the International Medical Education Trust 2000. He is also a member of the UCL Hospitals Charitable Foundation, Cancer Centre Development board.
