Eva Mückstein, born on December 7, 1958 in Baden (Lower Austria) is an Austrian politician and a Member of Parliament for the Greens (Die Grünen) since 2013.
Political career[edit]
Eva Mückstein has worked as a psychotherapist and health psychologist since 1987. Since 1991, she runs a private practice in Bad Vöslau. In 2000, she was elected Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Association for Psychotherapy (ÖBVP), and in 2007 as President. In 2010, she eventually entered into politics and moved from the Greens to the council of Bad Vöslau. In October 2013, she was sworn in as a member of parliament.
Education[edit]
Eva Mückstein attended the Real Gymnasium in the village of Bern until 1973 and later the Commercial Academy in Baden near Vienna, where she took the Matura in 1978. She then enrolled at the University of Vienna, where she studied psychology until 1985. The title of her dissertation in 1985 was “Information processing disorder in the idea as a central disturbance in autism”.
