Nicos Nicolaides was born in Limassol in 1953.He is a Greek/Cypriot politician and electrical engineer.
Political Career[edit]
Nicos Nicolaides is a representative of Limassol constituency under the banner of the KS EDEK since May 2011. He served President of the KS EDEK Limassol District Committee from 2003 to 2008,Chairman of the board of the Licencing Authority from 2006 to 2008. He also served as Minister of Communications and Works of the Republic of Cyprus during Demetris Christofias’ presidency for the period 2008-2010. Last, he served as Member of the KS EDEK Political Bureau and of the KS EDEK Central Committee.

Nicos Nicolaides graduated in Electrical Engineering (Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, United States of America) and MSc in Electrical Engineering (University of Southern California, United States of America).He speaks English and French.
