Caterina Pes was born on November 23rd 1960 in Sassari, Sardinia. She is an Italian politician for the Partito Democratico and she is a high school teacher.

In the general elections of 2013 she was elected to the Italian Chamber of Deputies for the Partito Democratico for the district of Sardinia. Additionally, since March 2013 she has been the Secretary of the Executive Office and since May 2013, she has been a member of the Cultural Science and Education Commission.
