Uroš Prikl was born on 18 September 1972. He is a member of the Democratic Party of Pensioners of Slovenia (Slovene: Demokratična stranka upokojencev Slovenije, also known by the acronym DeSUS) and is a member of the National Assembly (Slovene: Državni zbor Republike Slovenije).

Political Career[edit]

Prikl was the Senior Technical Assistant, Senior Advisor, and Secretary at the Slovene Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs between 2001 and 2006. From 2006 to 2009 he was the Secretary-General of the Financial and Analytical Department at the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs. Futher, Prikl served as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs. Between 2012 and 2014 he was the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health. His mandate in the National Assembly began in 2014. He is the chairperson of the Committee on Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Disability, a member of the Committee on Finance and Monetary Policy, and a member of the Economic Committee. Prikl is also a member of the Slovenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly for the Union for Mediterranean - PAUfM.

Education[edit]

Prikl graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Maribor in 1998.
