Fiona Bruce (born 26 March 1957) is a Scottish Conservative Party politician who is the Member of Parliament for Congleton, elected at the 2010 general election.
Political Career[edit]
Fiona Bruce first entered into politics when she contested the Warrington South General Election. She gained a seat at the House of Commons in the 2010 General Elections as member for Congleton. She held a position of Draft Modern Slavery Bill in 2014, committees on Arms Export Controls (formerly Quadripartite Committee) Commons 2013, International Development Committee Commons 2012 and the Scottish Affairs Committee.
Education[edit]
Fiona Bruce was educated at Burnley High School for Girls and Howell's School Llandaff. She went on to study law at the University of Manchester and Chester Law College. She was admitted as a solicitor in 1981, and has been senior partner of the firm she founded, Fiona Bruce & Co, since its creation in 1988.
