Juan Francisco Martínez-Aldama Sáenz, born 4 October 1965 in Herce, La Rioja, is a Spanish senator representing the Spanish region of La Rioja in the 10th Congress of Deputies. Martínez-Adama Sáenz is a member of the Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party, Partido Socialista Obrero Español (PSOE).

Political Career[edit]

Juan Francisco Martínez-Aldama Sáenz started his political career as a councillor on the city council of Herce in 1995, position that he occupied until 2003. From 2003 until now he has been the spokesperson of the PSOE in the Parliament of La Rioja. Currently, Martínez-Aldama Sáenz is the deputy spokesman of the PSOE Parliamentary Group, and he is also an alternate member in the Senate Permanent Delegation. Furthermore, he is the Second Secretary for the Committee on Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Additionally, Martínez-Aldama is spokesman for the Employment section within the ‘Committee on Employment and Social Security’ and a member of the Joint Committee on Relations with the Ombudsman.

Education[edit]

Martínez-Aldama Sáenz has a degree in Philology from the University of Zaragoza.
