Tendency diffused among political scientists, economists and academics in general, to analyze the world’s reality from a western perspective. This entails an unquestioned adherence to the liberal values of democracy and market economy and a full commitment to the safeguarding of individual human rights. Many of the main international multilateral organizations such as the IMF ad the World Bank are accused of having a west-centric approach to issues such as economic development and human rights as the result of the hegemony exercised by the USA and western European countries in international politics.
