Dara Calleary, (10/05/2014) is an Irish Fianna Fail Politician. He was elected as an TD in 2007 and represents the MAYO constituency.

Dara Calleary begun serving the people of Mayo in Leinster House as Teachta Dála since he was elected at the 2007 General Election. In April 2009 he was appointed Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment with responsibility for Labour Affairs and in March 2010 he was appointed Minister of State at the Department of An Taoiseach and the Department of Finance with responsibility for Public Service Transformation. He  was a member of the Fianna Fáil Ard Comhairle from 1997 to 2007 having topped the national poll in 2000 and was also a member of the National Youth Committee (1994-96, 1998-2003, 2006-07) serving as Secretary on the Ard Comhairle Committee on Enterprise.

Dara Calleary, (10/05/2014) is an Irish Fianna Fail Politician. He was elected as an TD in 2007 and represents the MAYO constituency.

Political Career

Before he was elected to parliament, Calleary served on the Fianna Fail National Executive. In this role he has been placed on many party policy committees which have looked at issues concerning transport, enterprise and employment. During his political career he has fulfilled a number of roles in government. His first position was as Minister of State for Labour Affairs and Public Service Transformation and he held that position from 2009 to 2011. His responsibilities included Labour Affairs and in 2010 he was given the additional responsibility for Public Service Transformation.
