From 2007 to 2010, he served as a Representative of the Government for the construction process of Road Transport Infrastructure in Slovakia. After the election to the National Council in 2010, he was elected as chairman of the Committee for Public Administration and Regional Development. In 2010 he became the Mayor of Zilina.
