David Michael Gauke was born on 8th October 1971 in Ipswich, England. He is a British Conservative Party politician. He is an MP representing the constituency of South West Hertfordshire. He is also the current Financial Secretary to the Treasury. David Gauke is married and has 3 children.

Gauke was educated at Northgate High School in Ipswich, Suffolk. He went on to study at St Edmund Hall, Oxford where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law in 1993, and then went on to the College of Law in Chester, where he graduated in legal practice in 1995.
