Antonio Placido was born in March 29th 1962 in Potenza, Basilicata. He is an Italian political and he graduated inpolitical science and international relations in 1986.

After being the mayor of Rionero in Vulture from 2006, in 2013 he was elected to the Italian Chamber of Deputies for Sinistra, Ecologia e Libertà party.
 
As member of the Parliament, he took part to the permanent Public and Private Work Commission.
