Ángeles González-Sinde Reig was born 7 April 1965. She is a Spanish scriptwriter, film director and politician. She was Culture Minister of Spain from April 2009 until December 2011.

Angeles González-Sinde served as President of the Spanish Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences AACCE and received numerous awards for her contributions to the film industry including: the Goya Award for Best Original Screenplay for La buena estrella (1997), the Goya Award for Best New Director for La suerte dormida (2003), the Prize Turia for Best New Work for La suerte dormida (2003), and the XX Festival de Cine Español de Málaga for Best Script for Heroína (2005). She served as Minister of Culture in Spain from 2009 until 2011.
