Yellow Peril
Term referring to the fear that mass immigration of people of East Asian descent would threaten to destroy western civilization, ways of life and values. The term is linked to the fear that wages and standards of living would be threatened as well. Furthermore, Yellow Peril connotes a belief that East Asian societies would someday be capable of invading and attacking societies in the West, leading to the eventual destruction and eradication of western culture.
