Vojko Volk

is currently the ambassador of Slovenia to Croatia.

Biography[edit]

Following this, Volk began his professional career in 1988 working for the Secretary of the Council for the Protection of Human Rights in Ljubljana. Having achieved various minister roles in the subsequent years, Volk became the State Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Slovenia.

Volk began his career as an ambassador in 2001 when he became the Slovenian Ambassador to Rome, Italy. He filled this position for four years, until 2005. From the period 2007- 2009, Volk undertook two positions working in Slovenian government institutions in Kosovo. In 2010, he became the Slovenian Ambassador to Croatia, which post he still holds today – based in Zagreb.

Aside from his professional career, Volk has published a series of scientific articles on domestic and international politics.

Vojko Volk began his academic career at the University of Ljubljana when he studied a bachelor degree in international relations.
