Viscount Bridgeman

Viscount Bridgeman is a title that was created in 1929. It was created for the Conservative politician William Bridgeman. The title is now held by his grandson, the Third Viscount Bridgeman who succeeded in 1982.

Political Career[edit]

He is one of the 90 elected hereditary peers that remain in the House of Lords and he represents the Conservative Party. He is a government whip and a spokesman on Home Affairs.

Education[edit]

He was educated at Eton.

Notable Work[edit]

Robin Bridgeman is currently the chairman of the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. Prior to this he was the chairman of the Friends of Lambeth Palace Library. In the past he has also been Treasurer of the New England Company and the Florence Nightingale Aid in Sickness Trust.

He is a Knight of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta.
