Martin Heydon

Martin Heydon (born 9 August 1978) is an Irish Fine Gael politician. He was elected as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Kildare South constituency at the 2011 general election. He was a member of Kildare County Council for the Athy electoral area from 2009 to 2011.

Political Career[edit]

He was elected to Dail Eireann on his first attempt in February 2011 as Fine Gael’s sole representative for Kildare South. He is currently chair of Fine Gael’s Internal Agricultural Committee and also sits on the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture and he is a member of the British Irish Parliamentary Assembly (BIPA).

Education[edit]

He attended Crookstown NS, Cross & Passion College Kilcullen and Kildalton Agricultural College.
