María Jesús Sáinz García

María Jesús Sáinz García was born in Santiago Compostela (Galicia). She is currently a member of the spanish senate within the People’s Party (PP).

Political Career[edit]

Garcia has developed comprehensive policy work in Autonomous Politics. She was the General Manager and Regional Minister of Education in the Government of Galicia during the tenure of President Gerardo Fernández Albor and Vice-Mariano Rajoy. In Municipal Politics, she was the PP Spokeswoman in the city of Santiago de Compostela in the period 1991-1999, with numerous initiatives in support of the city. In domestic policy, she has represented the province of A Coruña in Congress (legislatures VII and VIII) and the Senate (legislatures III and IX).

Education[edit]

She is a professor of the Spanish Language and Literature.

Notable work[edit]

Garci attended the World Conference on Women in Beijing in 1995 and New York in 2005.
