Mr Jesmond Mugliett was born in Cospicua, Malta on April 10th, 1963.

Professional Achievements[edit]

Mr Mugliett is a member of the Executive Committee of the Nationalist Party and stood for general election in 1994, 1996 and 1998. From 1996 to 1998 Mr Mugliett was Party Spokesman for the Planning Authority. Following the victory of the Nationalist Party at the general election of 1998 he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education.

Education[edit]

Between 1981 and 1988 Mr Mugliett studied architecture and civil engineering at the University of Malta, where he was President of the Architectural and Civil Engineering Society from 1985 to 1987. After graduation he set up his own practice as an architect. From 1992 to 1993 he was director of Telemalta Corporation and in 1994 he became Director of Academy of Christian Democratic Youths. From 1991 to 1995 he was also President of Tarxien Rainbows Football Club.

Notable Work[edit]

Mr Jesmond Muglett participates in various political and cultural seminars in Europe and regularly contributes articles in both Maltese and English to local newspapers.
