Heidtrud Henn

Heidtrud Henn, born on July 12, 1962 in Birkenfeld, is a German politician and Member of Parliament for the SPD (Social Democratic Party of Germany; Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands).

Political career[edit]

Heidtrud Henn is a part of the SPD-circuit board of Neunkirchen. Since 2009, she has been a Member of the Ortsrat of Wellesweiler and the city council Neunkirchen. Since 2010, she has been Chair of the SPD-Ortsvereines Neunkirchen-Wellesweiler. Henn is the Director of a day care in Saarbrücken Wichernhaus and until October 2013, she was a deaconess for the elderly at the Kreuznacher diakonia in Bad Kreuznach. She is a Member of the county board of the SPD Neunkirchen, where she is the Education Officer. In the federal election of 2013, she was elected on the list of Saarland in the 18th German Bundestag. She has been a Member of the Bundestag since October 2013. Her home constituency is the constituency of Homburg. She is member of the Defence Committee.

Education[edit]

Heitrud Henn initially trained as a florist (1996) and afterwards re-trained as a geriatric nurse. In 2007, she followed by training as a deaconess (Diakonin).
