Frantisek Laudat

Frantisek Laudat was born on March 13, 1960, in Ledec nad Sazavou. He is a Czech politician from TOP 09 Party, chairman of the Prague organization TOP 09. From June 2006 to August 2013 and from October 2013 he has been a Member of the Chamber of Deputies.

Education[edit]

After graduating from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University he has worked for nine years at the Physics Institute. At the same time he was teaching the basic courses of physics at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

Political career[edit]

For three months he worked at the Ministry of Transport, then worked as an assistant of the deputy mayor of Prague. In 1994 he was elected for the ODS to the Prague government. Between 2000-2006, he chaired the Transport Committeeand also participated in the investigation of the flooding of the Prague underground. In the period of 1995-2006 he drove the recovery of the Municipal House in Prague and its subsequent operation. Since 2006 he is a Member of Parliament. In 2009 he entered the Top 09 Party and became the chairman of the Prague party organization.
