Frano Matušić

Frano Matušić was born on 18 March 1961 in Dubrovnik (Croatia). He is a member of the Croatian Parliament (Hrvatski Sabor) and also a member of the Croatian Democratic Union (Hrvatska demokratska zajednica).

Political Career[edit]

He became a member of the Croatian Parliament on 27 January 2004. During that mandate he became the head of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. For the duration of his second term in the Croatian parliament from 2008 to 2011, he continued with that role and also became chairperson of the Foreign Policy Committee deputy head of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Committee for stabilization and accession (Croatia - EU Joint Parliamentary Committee), deputy member of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, member of the Education, Science and Culture Committee of the Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee, of the European Integration Committee, of the National Committee and of the Delegation to the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly.

His current parliamentary mandate has started on 22 December 2011 and includes following functions: a deputy chairperson of the Foreign Policy Committee, a deputy member of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, a member of the European Affairs Committee, a member of the Committee on Human and National Minority Rights, a member of the Interparliamentary Co-operation Committee, a member of the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and a member of the National Council for Monitoring Anti-Corruption Strategy Implementation.

Education[edit]

He graduated from the Academy of Music in Zagreb with major in guitar education and performance.
