Fitz Güntzler

Fritz Güntzler, born May 6th 1966 in Cuxhaven, is a German politician (CDU).

Political career[edit]

Fritz Güntzler in 1989 became a member of the CDU in 1990 and joined the Junge Union (JU). From 1992 to 1995 he was Chairman of the JU - City Association of Göttingen and from 1995 until 2000 Chairman of the JU Regional Division Südniedersachsen - Hildesheim. In 1996, Fritz Güntzler was a member of the executive committee of the CDU in Lower Saxony. From 1999 to 2005 he was Chairman of the CDU - City Association of Göttingen.

Fritz Güntzler was from January 2005 to 2008 a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament. He was a member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Constitution and the Committee on Science and Culture. In 2013 he was elected into the Bundestag. He is deputy member of the Sports Committee.

Education[edit]

After graduation in 1985, he did his military service in the Bundeswehr. Afterwards Güntzler studied Business Administration at the University of Saarland and the University of Göttingen.
